Truth be told, Australia is a beautiful country with a lot of places to visit and experiences to be had.  From vast landscapes and beautiful beaches, there’s a lot to see and do in Australia. Any travelling enthusiast has visited Australia at least once or twice and has their Australian Bucket List prepared before their arrival. If your lucky like us to live in the country, its an awesome place to live, work and explore.

As we are in the early planning stages of our goal of Road Tripping Australia in 2019 we are making a Bucket List of the places we want to see in Australia. We have seen a significant amount of Australia already so you may find our list doesn’t have some key places, that is because we may of already visited them however there is a high chance we will visit them again.

Now lets break it down to state by state for our Ultimate Australian Bucket List. if there is something we have missed that you reckon we should check out, hit us up:)

Tour the Aradale Lunatic Asylum at Ararat

See the Sound and Light show at Soverign Hill

Soak up the Mineral Springs at Hepburn Springs

Take the Victorian Goldfields Railway from Maldon to Castlemaine

Visit the Mornigton Peninsula and take a ride on Arthurs Seat.

Drive and Explore the Great Alpine Road in the High Country and pay a visit to Bright Brewery

Camp and Explore Mount Buffalo during the Warmer Months

Head to Belgrave to catch a train ride on Puffing Billy

Do the 1000 Steps Walk in the Dandenong Ranges

Explore Wilsons Promonitory National Park and take a walk on Squeaky Beach

Do the Lap around Phillip Island

Take the Queenscliff to Sorento Ferry and explore these coastal towns

Experience the Cape and drive to the Tip of Australia

Discover more of the Daintree Rainforest

Spend more time at beautiful  Karumba and go on a fishing charter

Visit the Undara Volcanic National Park to see the Undara Lava Tubes

Explore Lawn Hill National Park, everyone tells us its up there in the places to visit in Australia!

Discover more of the Atherton Table Lands. Pay a visit to Barron Falls and Milla Milla Falls

We fell in love with Paronella Park back in 2011, we can’t wait to revisit this magnificent place again

Have a cold one at the Birdsville Pub and if we can attend the Birdsville Races or Big Red Bash that would be pretty memorable too!

Visit the town of Winton and explore the Waltzing Matilda Centre

Take the time to explore more of Coober Pedy. We have pitched the tent underground, lets dine underground too!

Camp, Hike &  Explore Wilpena Pound as well as the entire Flinders Ranges

2 years in a row we tried to do the Oonadatta Track, hopefully this time around we will be able to do it!

If there is water in Lake Eyre, lets take a plane ride over it

We don’t drink wine but we can sample the beers in the beautiful Barossa Valley.

Take a ferry to Kangaroo Island and explore this incredible popular island

More On The Great Australian Bucket List 

Nothing says outback like driving 1100km on Unsealed Dirt Roads, and thats one of our plans to Drive the Great Central Road between Western Australia and Northern Territory. We also want to tackle the Tanami Track from Alice Springs to Wolfe Creek Crater.

We want to compile a list of Outback Aussie Pubs, there is some icons out there and they are high on the list. Some that spring to mind are the Camerons Corner Pub, Birdsville Pub, William Creek Hotel,Innaminka Hotel,  Whim Creek Hotel, Iron Clad Hotel & Pub in the Paddock spring to mind. We have already visited Silverton Hotel & Daly Waters Pub but we will certainly go back there for a cold one!

We want to take take the journey and drive Victoria to South Australia along the Murray River.

Who’s has Zip Lined before? We want to experience Zip Lining at an amazing location! Any top suggestions where??

A Hot Air Balloon ride is high on the bucket list experience. Maybe in the Barossa Valley. Not sure where as yet but its got to be somewhere good!

Drive the Savannah Way from Broome to Cairns

Australia is often referred to as the land of Oz. And rightly so. It is a land that holds insurmountable beauty, rare wild animals and breathtaking beaches complimented by blue water bodies.it is a land that you do not want to miss out on. And neither do we. Explore Australia with us. One magnificent town and place after another, it makes for a magnificent story later.

Did you notice we missed some key places?

Some of Australias Most Iconic Places like the Daly Waters Pub, Kings Canyon, West MacDonnells, Silo Art TrailGreat Ocean Road are missing? Want to know why?  Well its because we have already explored these amazing places! We certainly loved them and if we do come across them again on our journey around Oz, we will explore them again..
